Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive aims to minimise the impact of Electric and Electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling, and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill.

The UK Government has signalled that local authorities will have a key role to play in the collection of WEEE at Civic Amenity Sites and other sites.

Here at Maxilead Metals, we consistently meet the performance standards set by the government. Therefore we are now a Fully Licensed Authorised Treatment Facility to accept, treat and store all categories of Waste Electrical Equipment.

Maxilead Metals offers an extensive range of services in the collection and recycling of hazardous and non- hazardous wastes. This includes:

  • Free Bulk Collection of Category 1 Heavy White Goods including Washing Machines and Dryers
  • Removal of Office IT Equipment and Computers
  • Provision of Evidence Notes (Full Audit Trail)

We are highly committed to meeting all standards and have invested in the new plant and machinery that will enable us to remove certain substances and recover more materials.
